I am a perfectionist Architect and I needed a qualified and an experienced builder to take on a very bespoke design extension and full refurbishment project in North London. VA Build has proved to be the right hardworking professionals for the right job.

Having an extension built wasn’t something I was looking forward to but the experience to my amazement actually turned out to be enjoyable, thanks mainly to the builders, VA Build. The foreman was available at all times to answer my questions. He kept me informed, was personable and efficient and always willing to suggest different solutions to any problems that arose. It was a very supportive approach and I appreciated that. Nothing was too much trouble – I never felt rushed into decisions.

VA Build sent various different teams to work on my project depending on the stage of work. All teams were phenomenally hard-working. They arrived super-early in the morning and worked apparently non-stop all day: it was extremely impressive. They also kept the site tidy and secure – they were always willing to clear a way and show me round no matter when I showed up.

Even though I changed my mind about quite a few things, and added new work on to the project, VA Build never seemed put out, always took everything in their stride and found great suggestions for how to incorporate my new ideas into the work. The work was on time, on budget and of top quality!

Project – complete refurbishment of the inside of my Victorian property, open plan extension with support steelwork and landscaping to the rear garden including a brick building. Quality – Excellent down to the last detail. Found workers polite and cleaned up at the end of the day. Budget – On time and within budget. Certain elements were below budget e.g. foundations. Strengths – Project management, professionalism, scope of knowledge, listening to what you require, timekeeping, attention to detail, manner, easy to talk to, pricing.

I found VA Build Ltd as part of my search when looking at doing a total house refurb, extension and general building work for my house in Dulwich, SE21. My wife and I do not regret for one moment in hiring VA Build Ltd team which worked with us for over 6 months. All of the team worked solid 8 – 5pm, no radios, no boiling water for tea – amazing team, solid, committed and worked tireless including weekends. In that time they completely pulled apart our 5 bed house – took it back to the brick on all walls, roof was taken off, rear of the house was removed, and internal walls taken down. And then they beautifully, skilfully and expertly put it all back together over 6 months into a showroom quality house that others are now admiring.

VA Build team was a pleasure to work with. We had a full house refurbishment done, electrics, ceilings, skirting, doors, architraves, new floors throughout the whole house, bathroom, kitchen, front door, full re-plastering, replacing a small window etc. The work was done to a very high standard and finished on time, despite a large amount of extra work which needed doing (we discovered leaking pipes under the house, drainage issues out the back and more). No corners were cut and all underlying issues were openly discussed to find the best solution so the house will stay solid for another 100 years! VA Build Ltd held weekly progress meetings, so we knew we were on track to finish on time, all the staff were very friendly also. We have no complaints, and will use again for some landscaping work in the front/back garden, later in the year.

VA Build carried out a full renovation of a derelict 4 / 5 bedroom property we bought in Dartmouth Park, NW5. I chose them as they were immediately up front about the work involved with the whole project, showed great knowledge and experience and gave me a very detailed quotation. We got on well as well straight away. I designed the finish for the house and VA Build team delivered exactly as I had hoped. Va Build team has high standards of craftsmanship and is very flexible and actually a joy to work with. I thoroughly recommend vabuild – extremely good guys who have high standards, a good work ethic and ultimately want to see their customers enjoying the homes they work with.

VA Build team did a fantastic job with our property refurb project and I recommend him highly enough. They completely stripped out property back to brick and rebuilt if from the ground up. We had some quite particular requirements requiring the removal and creation of new partition walls and VA Build team was able to accommodate and direct us in how we could address each requirement. We are very happy with the finish and have had many compliments from other tradesmen on the quality of the work.

I have no hesitation in recommending VA Build team. Work was completed on time and VA Build was kind enough to allow me to use his trade discount when purchasing most of the materials in order to meet my budget constraints.
